Matteo Zingales is one of Australia’s most highly regarded and awarded composers. Matteo has recently composed the score for The Convert, an upcoming feature film directed by Lee Tamahori. The film, set in the 1830s, stars Guy Pearce and Te Kohe Tuhaka. It tells the story of Thomas Munro, a lay preacher who becomes embroiled in a bloody conflict between Māori tribes at a British settlement in New Zealand called Epworth. This latest project continues to demonstrate Matteo's ability to create powerful and evocative scores that enhance the emotional and dramatic impact of the films he works on.
