Mark Vincent - Songs From The Heart (2011)

“Songs From The Heart” is a testament to Mark Vincent’s vocal prowess and his ability to breathe life into a diverse array of songs. The album showcases Vincent’s versatility as he navigates through film themes, traditional standards, and timeless pop hits with ease and sophistication.

One of the standout performances in the album is “Till I Hear You Sing,” a number from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera sequel, Love Never Dies. Vincent’s rendition suggests a promising career in musical theater. His interpretation of Sinatra’s favorite “Young at Heart” is a convincing foray into Michael Bublé territory, while songs like Josh Groban’s “You’re Still You,” “Once Before I Go” (from the Peter Allen jukebox musical The Boy from Oz), and Demis Roussos’ '70s number one “Forever and Ever” are all treated to Chong Lim and ARIA award-winner Guy Noble’s sweeping orchestral production.

While his British counterpart Paul Potts appears to have been all but forgotten, “Songs from the Heart” suggests that Mark Vincent has the guile to extend his reality TV-assisted fame once he’s outside his teens.
