Egeria - Sanctum Virum Isidorum (2024)

EGERIA focuses its work exclusively on the medieval repertoire, without making concessions to other periods or styles. The project was born with the intention of recovering and highlighting the historical and musical importance of some of the most important Spanish codices, but it quickly expanded to other European repertoires. However, its objective transcended the desire for “heritage recovery” to focus on the public. And what EGERIA offers is a unique and individual experience for each listener: the unrivaled opportunity to discover a repertoire that few ensembles dare to tackle, in an honest and accessible way, always based on the rigor of research but without forgetting the times in which we live.

Their programs are a blend of perfectly interwoven sounds and styles, with pieces carefully selected with the coherence, versatility and dynamism required for a concert. In addition, each repertoire is prepared to be performed both a cappella and with instrumental accompaniment, always with the aim of offering the best version depending on the context and space.
