There is little to surprise an avid audiophile, especially a connoisseur of vinyl. But the record label Stockfisch Records was able to.
The company offered the consumer a copper plate made by the DMM method. The essence of this technology is to eliminate intermediate processes associated with the manufacture of an acetate disc, implying a decrease in sound quality. How is this achieved? The vinyl pressing stamper is cut directly from the original master tape prepared for publication.
What is the result of the new DMM-Dubplate? A disk, one side of which is covered with a copper layer with tracks cut into it. Any player can play it. At the same time, according to the manufacturer, there should be no third-party noise. A recorded album with five tracks is being listened to at a speed of 33 revolutions per minute.
