Nino Rota was born in Milan in 1911 within a musical family. He was a child prodigy and excelled in the composition of the orchestra since he was twelve years old when released on his own driving his oratorio The childhood of John the Baptist. Received an excellent academic training in Rome, USA and Milan, where he studied literature. He was director of the Conservatory of Bari from 1950 until his death in 1979.
Author of ballets, operas, concertos for horn, bass cello, piano, bassoon, and symphonies, heavily emphasizing his brilliant work in film, suffice it to say who is the author of the music from La dolce vita, Orchestra Rehearsal The Godfather and Rocco and His Brothers. His language is romantic and melodic excellence. Harmony is deceptively simple, but with the influence of the young Stravinsky.
The Piano concerto in E minor is a subject of great inspiration, the kind that are recorded in the ear for life. Traditional structure with a thematic idea of the themes which emanate seeking contrast through the use of variation. The piano has developed all his grandstanding in a beautiful cadenza after which a variation is re jovial with the idea. The main theme in its original order, is responsible for the climax which is reached broadly, bluntly, simply and force at a time, finally putting out little by little all the drama, reducing and diluting the whole orchestration in tempo.

Aram Khachaturian is one of the most important composers of the Soviet generation.
