Si-bemol Younes is Buzuq/Oud player, composer and ethnomusicologist. Born in a musical family, he started learning the violin at the age of 8 and skipped through a few instruments until settling on the Buzuq and the Oud as his main instruments. He published one of the first studies on the buzuq, in a masters degree in ethnomusicology from Université De Montreal. He has also published many articles related to music history and Middle Eastern music. Having performed with many artists in the Middle East and North America, and being curious and fascinated by music of all over the world, he learned how to integrate his techniques in many different musical contexts that distinguishes his sound. Si-bemol has released many albums and singles. He is also a co-founder of "Dokah", a Lebanese neo-folk/ Arabic-Jazz band.
