No Postcode was commissioned by good friend Victor O’Connor and premiered at the wake of his funeral. Miss you Victor.
S.M.S was commissioned by ATM15 for their Composers Plus concert series recorded Live at the Jazz Lab, Melbourne. Thank you for including me in this project Mapes.
Sleepy Duke and Squint Your Eyes were both composed during the 2020 covid lockdown. The moody ballads pretty much express how I was feeling.
An Ocean Seen is a heavily influenced by the Bob Brookmeyer
composition, Seesaw. This was composed to feature long term MFO band members for our 15th birthday celebration in 2020.
Empty Landscape is the newest composition on the album and is a follow up to my own piece: Corio Landscape.
Saxophones: Ben Collins, Jayden Blockley, Sean Little, Mark Sprogowski
Trumpets: Ricki Malet, Matt Smith, Dusan Cuculoski
Trombone: Steve Bickley, Catherine Noblet, Rob Coleman
Guitar: Dan Garner
Bass: Alistair Peel
Drums: Greg Brenton
Composer/Conductor: Mace Francis
