Acclaimed for her “beautiful timber and outstanding stage credibility” (Conessiall’opera) and for her “powerful, agile voice together with expressivity and grand dramatic ability” (Olyrix), Reut Ventorero approaches varied repertoire with depth, curiosity and eclecticism forged by her training and diverse musical experiences.

Ms. Ventorero sang as a soloist in major concert halls, Opera houses and festivals around Europe under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, Daniele Rustioni, Stefano Montanari, Michele Gamba, Speranza Scappucci, Michele Spotti, and Leonardo García Alarcón, among others.

Current season engagements include appearances at the Semperoper Dresden as Teresa (la Sonnambula) staged by Rolando Villazón and conducted by Evelino Pidò and Antonello Allemandi, the Opéra de Toulon as Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), concerts with Ensemble Meitar (Conductor: Steven Sloane), Lieder Recitals and the premiere of the piece The Black Night Organ by Menachem Wiesenberg in which the mezzo-soprano part was written especially for her voice. She recently completed a tour with Opera Lomabrdia and La Rete Lirica delle Marche as Flora (La Traviata) and made her debut with The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra singing a song cycle for mezzo-soprano and Orchestra composed by Oded Zehavi under the baton of Nimrod David Pfeffer as part of the Israeli Music Fest.

She is colleborating regularly with leading Israeli composers and her album with the pianist Hagai Yodan, dedicated to the Israeli Art Song will be released by the Israeli Music Institute on November 2023.

Highlights of past seasons include Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) in the Theater Orchester Biel-Solothurn and in the Opéra de Saint-Étienne, Annina (La Traviata) Opéra de Saint-Étienne, Mrs. Fairboalt and Mrs. Ahearn in Hana Ajiashvili’s new opera “Cut Glass” at the Felicja Blumental International Music Festival, appearances in the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma as Teresa (La Sonnambula) recorded and filmed to Rai 3 and Rai 5 and later as Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) in a production directed by Graham Vick.

As a member of the first edition of “Fabbrica” Young Artist Program of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma she was engaged to sing the roles of Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia – Figaro! OperaCamion touring Rome, Reggio Emilia and later in Teatro Massimo di Palermo); Zerlina (Don Giovanni); Giovanna (Rigoletto); Ines (Il Trovatore); Eine Kunstgewerblerin (Lulu); Seconda Conversa (Suor Angelica) and Lo Scoiattolo (Lo scoiattolo in gamba).

Her festival appearances include the Utrecht Festival of Early Music, Festival Classique, the Holland Festival and the Dag van La Petite Bande. Her concert engagements include collaborations with the Roma Tre Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, the Israeli Schubertiade the Symphonette Ra’anana Orchestra and the Ensemble Solistes XXI in repertoire ranges from early baroque to contemporary music.

Ms. Ventorero is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague where she specialized in early music performance practice. During the years her main voice teachers were Ella Milch-Sheriff, Bibiana Goldenthal, Neil Semer and Lucrezia Messa. Her present vocal coach is Pietro Naviglio.

She was invited to take part in various prestigious young artists programs such as the Voice and Creation Residency of the Academy of Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Luzern Festival Academy guided by Barbara Hannigan, and the Ambronay Festival Academy, performing Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in its European tour. In addition, she participated regularly in the summer opera program of the IVAI in Tel-Aviv and in Canto vocal programs in Croatia and France.

Ms. Ventorero is a scholarship recipient by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Ronen Foundation and the Israel Vocal Arts Institute. She has won the Excellence Award from the Buchman-Heiman Foundation.
