Known primarily as an actor, comedian, and quiz show host, Alexander Armstrong is actually a trained baritone and studied music at Trinity College, Cambridge on a scholarship. This is his debut release and marks a return to his first love of music after more than a decade in television. The project began life as a collection of English pastoral songs, but has since grown to include songs from Northern Ireland ("Londonderry Air") and even further afield (Gershwin's "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess). A U.K. tour was planned for early 2016.
