No, ISO is the BEST alternative to ensure the best quality. It's a copy of an SACD. There are free programs to convert them to FLAC or, if you prefer, you can use a player that plays them (Foobar, JRiver, VLC - many free). Good luck!

Yes, ISO files are the best&easiest way that allows you to burn a DVD that is a SACD clone playable, for example, on all Oppos with the highest sound quality.
As converter/player I prefer now Korg's Audiogate.

Sonore ISO2DSD is the best to use. And it's free (JRiver is definitely not free).
