Ramrock Records are proud to present legendary Irish DJ/Producer/Remixer, and founder of Deeper Groove Recordings, Alan Keane who has teamed up with Nigerian vocalist Morris Revy to create the beautifully stripped back, hypnotic dubbed out ‘Feel The Flow’ EP – all you’ve got to do is feel the flow and feel the energy. The remix comes courtesy of Balmr aka Greg O’Connell, who is also part of the Southbound Sounds crew with Alan. The track sat on Alan’s hard drive until he saw a social media post by Ashley Beedle, telling DJs who played reggae, to get in touch with Ramrock Records for reggae promos. Alan thought ‘not only do I play reggae but I make it’ - so he sent the ‘Feel The Flow’ demo to Jo at Ramrock, and the rest is history…..

The story goes that one evening after a mammoth Deeper Groove party, Alan started messing around with some dub reggae sounds and the idea for the FTF track came to fruition. Once the ‘feel the rhythm, feel the flow’ hook was nailed, he sent the beat to Morris Revy, and sang him the hook on WhatsApp. After a couple of days, Morris delivered his haunting vocals that sat perfectly over the bed but Alan took more elements out of the beat to allow more room for Mr Revy’s delivery to shine. ‘Feel The Flow’ was finished and Alan sent it to Greg O’Connell aka Balmr for a listen who instantly asked for the parts. The remix was completed and chords for the remix were added to the instrumental and dub as on previous Southbound Sounds projects.

Morris Revy was born in Nigeria and studied Environmental Engineering Technology at the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute in Warri City. However, after becoming immersed in music from childhood, especially pop, rock, R&B, disco, Morris honed his vocals in his church choir and took up professional music in the 90s whilst still studying in Nigeria. After doing a number of backing vocal sessions for Nigerian artists, Morris got a request by HSR Records to do some vocals and from there, his singing career took off.
