Kathy Troccoli is one of those artists who didn't get the big success although having great songs which sound very good even today. I actually hadn't heard about her before I was advised to listen to her albums because she is similar to Amy Grant. I have to agree with that. She is of course not a replica of Amy but she is a female pop artists who has a brilliant voice - even better than Amy and she sings about God and love. Her style sounds quite traditional 80's pop but it is well-made, the melodies are very good and her voice is one of the best ones I have ever heard in pop music. In couple of songs it sounds like she would be capable of doing even a little bit more classical stuff. I believe she could have got a lot of success if there hadn't already been Amy Grant in pop music. It can be also lack of promotion but I cannot know. Either way her music is awesome, at least the albums I have heard.

I guess this album sounds something which could have had many major hits: "Just You", "Tell Where It Hurts", "I'll Be There (for You)", "Never My Love" are very good pop songs. Also the closing song "My Life Is In Your Hands" is perhaps the peak of her vocals on this album. "I'll Be There (for You)" is my favorite song of this album though. Only "Fallin'" sounds average and theer are no bad songs.

This is a great album to start listening to Kathy Troccoli. It is not her best album but it is a very good start and most of the songs can sound very good during the first listen.
