Rance grew up in Anahuac, a small South East Texas town near Beaumont. Listening to artists with heavy influences such as George Jones, John Prine, George Strait, Merle Haggard and David Allan Coe, gave him a strong passion for country music, honky tonk, real country music. Growing up on a ranch, Rance learned that hard work is what it takes to earn a living. At age 11, he heard his first "Texas Country" album, "Three Days” by Pat Green and was hooked. From that point on, he couldn't get enough of the Texas Music Scene, listening to artists like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland, Charlie Robison, Robert Earl Keen, and probably most of all Ryan Bingham. Though always wanting to learn how to play guitar and sing, he just never really got the motivation to do it until he moved to Austin at age 19. With many musician friends and the confidence within him, he bought his first guitar and started to play. After about a month, he had already learned basic chords and could play and sing. It wasn’t until several years later that he became inspired to write songs, and didn't stop from there. Frequenting songwriter circles and playing the downtown 6th Street scene, as well as traveling Texas, he decided it was time to cut his first album -"Wild & on the Run" which was released in May of 2013. Rance released his sophomore EP entitled "Go Honky Tonk Yourself" February 2015. He is currently touring with his band and taking his show on the road.
