Michel Nzau is the man behind his famous afrodunk Name, Bantunani. Let's discover Bantunani's mysic, message and awesome groove
Bantunani, born on March 15, 1976 in Kinshasa, is a Franco-Congolese singer-songwriter, producer and director.
Singer with a conscious groove, in 2006, he is the instigator of Nu Rumba, a musical current founded on a philosophical trinity "I think, I dance therefore I am", a subtle mixture of funk and electro-soul nourished by Afro beat where Kinshasa's Sebene guitars bring a particular trace. He signed in 2006 with his first contract with the Ruestendhal label and prestigious contract with Davout studios. He declined his style on his seven albums: RumbaLounge, Discovering nu rumba (2008), Africanization (2010), Acousticfear, Crépuscule des idoles (2012), Intrigant rocknbe (2013), The Man by Michel Nzau (2014), Groovencio, an afropolitan diary (2016) and Musicalist (2018).
Bantunani is above all a showman with a well-marked dance step, the shakingland, dance movement which consists in making the ground tremble during the flights of sebènes.
