Charlie Ewing - Cowboy Ways (2024)

Charlie Ewing is a cattle rancher in southern Alberta Canada whose hobby is playing music and writing songs.This is his debut solo album containing eight original and three traditional songs about ranch life, western history,and country living.The songs are backed by himself on guitar and mandolin, members of his band 'The Dirty Hat Band' on bass dobro and lap steel,along with some fiddle, electric guitar and a smattering of drums. Charlie and the band play bluegrass and country festivals around southern Alberta. His influences include everyone from Gordon Lightfoot to Neil Young but old time rural music and singer songwriters like Guy Clark and Ian Tyson are his favorite.
