Second studio album by The Magnificent Brotherhood
In this age of crass consumerism and mindless mediocrity, true craftsmanship seems to be all but extinct. When some faceless shmuck gets more respect by spinning records for the masses than an actual band receives by playing live music, what is the incentive to create? How many times have I listened to some old record, and been totally knocked out by the superior songwriting, the advanced musicianship, the inspired performance, and remarked, "They don't make records like this anymore!" Well, it turns out that they still do! - or at least someone does - and that someone is The Magnificent Brotherhood! Rich with intricate riffs, clever arrangements and hooks to spare, each song on this album is a masterpiece and would probably be a top 10 record back in the day when talent ruled the airwaves. They say Talent Is It's Own Reward. If that's so, the Brotherhood are very rich men. And that's incentive enough.
