Christel Joselle La Guerre (born 7 April 1992) a Grenadian singer and songwriter, is the youngest of two children born to Monica La Guerre and Chris La Guerre. As early as 7 years old Christel began to show interest in singing and at the tender age of 10 joined her local church choir. In her early teens she was selected from the choir by a Canadian talent scout to perform at a local opera concert (A Nights at the Opera) this was her first appearance outside of the church. It was after this performance that Christel knew she'd want to pursue a career as a singer/musician. While still in her teens she was recruited to join a band (Bearers of Hope) headed by the choir mistress and mentor at the time Ms. Marcelle Belmar. Although being a charity band this is where Christel formed the foundation for her career as a professional singer. She learned many skills in the band; playing the guitar, crowd interaction, songwriting all while still sharing the gift of music through charity. At this time Christel would become a member of many groups which were involved in music and theatre arts. When trying to spread her wings she was encouraged by her family and mentors to partake in a leading talent show at the time Grenada's Best Talent in 2010. Although not making it to the finals her presence was definitely felt in the local music world. This open doors for Christel to be employed as a full-time singer and performer of the Arts at a newly opened cultural entertainment center in her village (Spice Basket). Christel was now able to do what she loves doing on a daily basis. This not only developed her vocals but interpersonal skills. During her time at Spice Basket she was approached to join a band, this continued her development through live shows, weddings, private parties and solo performances with her guitar. As time progressed she took upon herself to start her own band, touching audiences throughout the island. One day while performing at the music jam a producer called Sabina (Sabi) Pitt was impressed by her voice and stage presence. He immediately approached her and began to write and record. Along with Eddie Bullen and Selwin (kung fu) Pitt they created a Masterpiece as the album is impeccably titled. Christel's debut album showcases her unique style and sound. With her team, her goal is to have her music known and enjoyed worldwide...
