Marko Mebus Quintett - All Those Things Still to Be Said (2023)

As a soloist, Marko Mebus likes to move through all styles; as a composer, he skilfully walks the line between jazz tradition and modernity, which is not a balancing act for him. His own compositions are profound, melodic, sometimes mystical. For his first album under his own name, he chose the quintet line-up, with Julius Gawlik on tenor saxophone, Felix Hauptmann on piano, Yannik Tiemann on bass and Jan Philipp on drums. It is the versatile design options that fascinate him about the quintet.
