“The 40th Anniversary Concert” indelibly captures in 15 tracks the emotion of a magical evening, that of November 30, 2013, with which the Perugia Big Band literally gave itself to the City of Perugia.
It is the live memory of the sold-out concert-event in the beautiful Berthold Brecht Theater in San Sisto: held as part of the "Per Natale Per Te" program of the Municipality of Perugia, it also earned the orchestra the patronage of the Region of Umbria and the Province of Perugia.
Developing a multifaceted and always interesting narrative system, the orchestra under Roselletti's direction finds skilful action and sensitively combines orchestral arrangements, tight rhythmic figurations, the grace of wide sans-vocal breaths, or the lyricism of the most inspired sung melodies.
