The concerto form has long fascinated the composer, whose innovative and ever-changing approach draws the listener into the individual sound-worlds of each work. Recorded live during the Aujourd’hui Musique Festival in Perpignan and featuring a number of musicians closely associated with Benguerel’s work, this album is an excellent introduction to his atmospheric and fascinating music.
