Steeltown Horns - 5 Years Of Funk (2023)

Steeltown Horns will release their first album, 5 Years of Funk , Friday May 26, 2023. The album reflects their journey and influences over a five year period of touring, recording and writing. This funk genre album features an impressive roster of talented and notable musicians like keyboardist Brett Williams on Shanghai Strut , guitarist Ian Neville on Cutting Room organist and keyboardist Bobby Sparks on: Rejected and The Hustler , and rapper Big Jus with vocalist Sierra Sellers on Shine . The album will be released on Alley Time Records.

The album was recorded at two locations; The Church Recording Studio in Pittsburgh, PA and Incline Records in Munhall, PA. It was mixed and mastered by multi-Grammy winner David Darlington at Bass Hit Recording in New York, NY. The album features a cast of incredible musicians like veteran master drummer and producer Poogie Bell; bassists John Hall and Anton DeFade keyboardists Chris Potter, Randraiz Wharton, Reggie Watkins and Howie Alexander; guitarist Anthony Ambroso, drummer Timothy Woodruff and percussionist David Glover.
