In the fall 2005 she moved to Helsinki in order to be able to focus on and develop her own music. She's currently a Master Degree student at the Jazz Dept of the Sibelius Academy. She has performed and worked with Jukkis Uotila, Marc Bernstein, Abdissa Assefa, Hip To Be Band etc. The Emma Larsson Quartet was formed in October 2005 and focuses mainly on Emma's compositions. However, despite the band's name, the unique sound and groove of the band is created by each musician's contributing with his own strong musical identity. The band recorded its first album in January 2006.
