Colectiva Tsunami - Tsunami Sonoro (2023) Hi-Res

This recording material is a testimony of what a group of Mexican women musicians living in different cities of the country have had to experience. Our meetings began virtually during the confinement resulting from the 2020 pandemic and upon discovering the power of our complicity, the Tsunami Collective emerged.
The history of music has been dominated by the male gender, but we know that there have also been many women whose names have been silenced over time. We ourselves have been witnesses and victims of these omissions.
In an effort to balance the weight on the scales, we dedicated ourselves to undertaking this project with a team made up, for the most part, of women. We came into contact with four composers from different parts of Latin America who very generously shared their music with us to be performed.
We managed the recording at the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana, where Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz lived and created several literary works. The Divino Narciso Auditorium was our recording room, a space full of symbolism and energies that were undoubtedly part of our interpretations.
This work is dedicated to all women musicians of the past, present and future.
This album was recorded from April 18 to 21, 2022 in Mexico City.
