Inspired by Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack for the “The Hateful Eight” movie directed by Quentin Tarantino (2015), pianist/composer Sjoerd van Eijck for the 2nd album of his OAK quartet, delved into the world of the French composer Olivier Messaien. The new album “Eight” is a modern jazz reflection on the past, present and future. It emphasizes the power of hard work and following your intuition, to make dreams come true.
