Yelda Özgen - Karadeniz (2023)

Yelda Özgen was born in Ankara. She took cello, chamber music and orchestra lessons at Istanbul University State Conservatory. In 1996, he completed his undergraduate program at Mimar Sinan University, Department of Mathematics. ITU Dr. Özgen, who started studying cello with Reyent Bölükbaşı at Erol Üçer Music Advanced Research Center (MIAM) in 1999, received a master's degree in music in 2002 and a doctorate degree in 2009. She participated in international festivals such as Istanbul Music Festival and Eskişehir Music Festival with Anatolia Ensemble, and performed in important halls at home and abroad. The artist, who took part in two CDs with Anatolia titled "Aegean and Balkan Dances" and "Itri and Meragi", worked as a cellist in orchestras such as Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony and Enka Sinfonetta. She attended many concerts as a member of Aşkın Ensemble, founded by Cihat Aşkın in 2007. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2015. He currently gives lectures as a faculty member at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory and ITU/MIAM Dr. Erol Üçer continues his duties as Director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Music.
