Mick Grabham (22 January 1948, Sunderland, County Durham, England) is an English rock guitarist. He played lead guitar in Procol Harum after the departure of Dave Ball, starting with their album Grand Hotel (1973) and ending with Something Magic (1977). Mick Grabham performed with many well-known and not-so-famous bands, including Bandit, Cochise, Plastic Penny and Procol Harum (1972-1977) (and also toured, providing studio support to dozens of other bands). The album "Mick The Lad" was released in 1972, Grabham's solo debut, apparently, was an unintended consequence of replacing David Ball in the Procol Harum band (Ball had previously replaced Robin Trower). Partly inspired by his work with Emitt Rhodes, who made a short tour of the UK in 1971 with the support of Grabham, the album may have been a solo show, produced by Grabham himself, writing all the material and playing almost everything except drums (a long-time friend Nigel Olsson was invited to this role).
