Italian-Argentinian pianist Carolina Danise was born in Naples. Winner of many national and international prizes since she was a child, Carolina had taken off in the last few years, performing as a soloist in Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Germany, Holland, and in the US, consistently obtaining a strong and warm approval from critics and audience.
In 2022, she performed for the first time in New York, in the Merkin Concert Hall, at the NTD International Competition, arriving among the 13 semi-finalists and receiving an honourable mention. In 2021 she made her debut in the Great Hall of the Odessa Philharmonic, in the City Theatre of Emmerich and Boskapel of Nijmegen.
The critics define her as a mature, warm and powerful artist with a remarkable virtuosity, never an end in itself.
„(...) makes the highest demands on pianists not only in technical terms, but also wants to be mastered musically first: the Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in E major, op.109. Danise clearly felt „at home“ here from the very beginning, she showed musical maturity and dramaturgical planning certainty as a pianist who knows (...) The vocal theme of the final variation movement sounded melodious and moving.“ Barbara Mülhenhoff, Rheinische Post
„High piano virtuosity as a stylistic means (and not an end in itself) was undoubtedly at the service of the works“. Barbara Mülhenhoff, Rheinische Post
„(...)Haydn, excellent performance of the Sonata in B minor, and finally Chopin's piece performed with great class and skill. A clear success, underlined by the large audience who applauded with transport the artist who has reciprocated with another beautiful piece of Chopin.“ Massimiliano Cerrito - domenicoscarlatticritics
After the conservatory studies, undertaken when she was only 8 years old, under the perennial guidance of Prof. Gabriella Olino, pupil of the famous pianist Annamaria Pennella, as well as pupil of the genius Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, she improved intensely with Prof. Leonid Margarius and Pietro Gatto.
During her piano studies, she has also worked with famous pianists such as: Bernd Goetzke, Dina Yoffe, Aldo Ciccolini, Janusz Olejniczak, Ewa Kupiec, Anna Kravtchenko, Arkadi Zenziper, Bruno Canino, Andrea Padova. She currently lives in Germany, where she has studied at the Cologne University of Music, with Prof. Andreas Frölich and with Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the Talent Music Master Academy.
In August 2019 she recorded the Third Sonata op.28 of Prokofiev for the magazine "Falaut" of Fisciano.
Last July, her live concert in Nijmegen was recorded and mastered on CD. In the same month she played for Ferrara Piano Festival in Italy. In the 2021-2022 season she played, thanks to the Accademia dei Cameristi of Bari, alongside musicians already known and appreciated in the Italian and international scene.
