Legraux Tobrogoi - Barbarismes (2023)

Here is the 4th opus from LeGraux Tobrogoï, a turbulent and creative Toulouse sextet of contemporary jazz for over 20 years. These 8 new compositions by Jore, Poirier, Picault and Renoux illustrate an affirmation of their singularity in producing a very open “Mingussian” jazz which nevertheless does not deny its connection with 70’s rock.
Fallen superhero, funeral fanfare, ovine atmosphere, hard bop deserts, vegetalized groove, dubious anagram, 7-beat waltz, rock peplum… welcome to the era of Barbarianism!
