Quiet Light - Fourth of July (2023) Hi-Res

“Fourth of July” is the product of an 18 month collab with Will and Anthony that came together in a sort of otherworldly way. I wanted to make something that felt really nostalgic like every time you listen you’re taken back to a time in your life where you were in love and it was really intense. The whole thing takes you through the journey of reflecting on the cycle of love and all of the people who are gone but will stay with you forever because you loved them. I also wanted to make a Texas summer album. This is what it’s like to swim outside in 100 degree weather, go to a baseball game, and grill on the Fourth of July. It’s also music for people who are retracing their steps and figuring out where it all went wrong. The truth is that you’re never going to figure it out.
