Clara and Robert, a love expressed through music, which has united them since they were teenagers, and through words. Those, for example, that Clara writes in her diary: 'We enjoy a domestic happiness that I could never have imagined. How I pity those who always ignore it! Every day I discover the treasure of poetry in him and every day I love him more'.
The two Trios - that are masterfully interpreted here by three authentic protagonists of the Italian and international music scene - were composed by Robert and Clara more or less at the same time, but the expressive worlds they represent are almost at the antipodes, perhaps they could be described as complementary, like two sides of the same coin, different but necessary to each other, just as Clara and Robert were in life.
