Moongold - Modern Life EP (2023) Hi-Res

Moongold is an American band of rotating members based in Denver, CO and Washington, DC. Heavily influenced by soul music of the 60s and 70s, Moongold started as a Downtempo project combining sampled rare soul records and live instrumentation. Over time Moongold has taken a more traditional soul, rhythm and blues sound as members have moved in and out of the project. They have been compared to other American artists such as Lake Street Dive and The Night Sweats. Being fans of science fiction, Moongold takes its name from an original album artwork concept depicting a sci-fi book cover of astronauts mining for gold on the moon.

Moongold releases their 6-track EP 'Modern Life' from Color Red. This latest release from the brainchild of Marc Wren features a tasteful mix of soul, funk, R&B, indie, and rock. The first track of the EP, "Feel the Beat", quickly pulls listeners in with an infectiously danceable rhythm garnished with plenty of catchy hooks and melodies throughout.
