Mynd is a sonic portrait of the Shropshire countryside featuring a mix of atmospheric soundscapes, strings, and piano melodies, intertwined with field and bio data recordings from Tiny Leaves' residency with the National Trust at The Long Mynd, an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Field recordings are a prominent aspect of Mynd. Incorporating a love for analogue processes, Pike took an old tape recorder, using its internal basic microphone to capture the atmosphere and soundscape.

Throughout the album, you can hear the gentle trickles of water, varying birdsong, and the valley's soft breeze, right through to the human footsteps and cacophony of noise from the thousands of visitors that venture into the valley each week.

Many thanks for this most interesting share.

Mynd (Long Mynd) in Shropshire - it is truly a magical and beautiful place - only spoilt by the hoards of disrespectful noisy visitors. Thankfully we know the quiet unspoilt areas, so we go there.

Looking forward to listening to the recordings.

Cheers.
