“I feel an immense sense of gratitude towards this instrument, whose essence is a true gift to the act of letting go. Letting go of ones fears that hold us back from moving forward.
Ten of the pieces on this album are composed. Two of them are completely improvised. Until this album, I have always been reluctant to improvise; both in studio and in public. But this album has been an opportunity to reflect: I am letting go, letting go of my fears, letting go of my old habits and am happy to improvise two pieces on it. Since the recording of this album I have started improvising at least one piece at each of my concerts.”
