Bella Hardy is a folk musician from Edale in Derbyshire, UK. She is a singer, songwriter and fiddle player, with many of her songs inspired by the landscape and folk tales of the Peak District.
Bella Hardy's musical career began with the band The Pack, alongside 11 other musicians she met at a Folkworks Youth Summer School, and which performed from 1997 to 2007. By that point, she was already establishing herself as a solo artist, being a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk awards in 2004. In 2011, her song 'The Herring Girl' won Best Original Song in the main Folk awards and in 2014 she won their prestigious Folk Singer of the Year award.
Bella Hardy has a BA in English Literature from York University and a Master of Music degree from Newcastle University.
