The Poets - Groovy! (2020) Hi-Res

The Poets from Bologna, Italy, cut a great debut 7" EP and an Album on Teen Sound Records soon after, early 2000s. Twenty years after they're back with their second or call it "Unreleased" album if you will, recorded way back at the time, but now remastered and filled with a dozen original songs that will leave you wondering. Did we actually dismissed a true brilliant and promising Pop trio way back then? It certainly seems so. Listen to their own songs, three young guys with a unique moody, folk,beat,pop songrwriting, clearly inspired by the great (Fab Four, Hollies and many more of course) Sixties masters but given with an unique Italian touch (not just the accent). "Groovy" is an album with a pure heart, and it's fair to say The Poets are not just back, they never left.
