Sarah Bugar has already done many things in her young life - but with this, her first album, a dream comes true for her - "New Beginnings".
Chronologically: A young, down-to-earth woman, a trained cook and hairdresser, is caught hard by Lockdown 2020, like many others. The occupational ban forces her to pause and move into her own four walls. At the same time, her relationship goes on the rocks and so she falls into a deep crisis of meaning. After this hard impact, she begins to write songs alone in her room on her guitar and draws with every chord new courage to believe in themselves until she makes the decision to quit her job and finally move the music in her life focus.
Sarah meets music producer Thomas Eifert (Kytes, L'Aupaire, Jules Ahoy, among others) and the two immediately click. More songs are created and Eifert finds the perfect musical garment for each Sarah Bugar song. Since the end of 2022, the two have been self-distributing song after song. Sarah Bugar shoots most of the videos herself.
Now three years later, the time has finally come. Sarah's debut album with the title "New Beginnings" is ready. And indeed, the name says it all. It is a new beginning. The new experiences and the belief in herself have inspired her to write a number of very different songs. A deep and personal insight into Sarah's emotional world. The lyrics autobiographical and self-inspired. And so an interesting mixture of her melancholic and her fighting side has been created here. So is the sound.
Some songs are arranged very reduced only with acoustic guitar, bass and drums. In addition, there are also great pop songs like "I'll Go On". Here, energetic 80s synth sounds and fat, electronic drums dominate the sound picture.
The common thread: Sarah Bugar's extraordinary voice! It runs through the songs and takes us by the hand. From the first to the eleventh track. Only when something old ends, something new can begin. Sarah Bugar has opened a new chapter for herself. She has left her old life behind and is now going her very own new way. She has shown great courage to put everything on one card in these times.
