“The New Day”, the new project of the italian pianist and composer Alberto Iovene, is a tribute to the concept of rebirth and overcoming difficulties, of whatever nature they may be.
The result of an artistic partnership between Iovene and Daniele di Bonaventura, considered one of the greatest jazz bandoneonists at an international level, and masterfully supported by the rhythmic section made up of Camillo Pace on double bass and Mimmo Campanale on drums. A journey ranging between various musical styles, starting from jazz, passing through tango and Latin jazz and arriving at ballads. A whirlwind of engaging music full of pathos for an elegant, very lyrical, expertly arranged and highly expressive record.
