Two disc set of Jimi Hendrix prior to the formation of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. These songs were recorded in 1965-67, mostly while playing as part of 'Curtis Knight and the Squires'. Only one track (I'm a Man) has Jimi on lead vocals (though he provides supporting vocals on other tracks), but all the guitars are his and there's some excellent experimentation to be appreciated, including one of the first uses of the wah wah pedal (on Wah Wah, unsurprisingly).
