Recorded in 1958 by Keilberth & Berlin Philharmoniker, "Der Freischütz" has long been loved by many fans as a model performance for this piece. It was recorded at the time when EMI started stereo recording at the Grünewald church in Berlin, but unfortunately the sound quality remained dissatisfied because the early digitized sound sources were still used in the CD era. It's not limited to this board, but I think that the CD had a hazy impression in terms of sound quality, especially during this period of recording. In this series, the Beethoven recording of Cluytens recorded at the same place in 2015 was reproduced as the first in this series, and it was well received. Similarly, the sound quality of this "Der Freischütz" has been revived by the latest reproduction. As explained by Daisuke Hirose, "No matter what kind of masterpiece is born in this work, the value of this recording and the conductor / singer who played it will never be reduced." I am confident that I was able to produce results that I could say. The singers can also say that the neat and fresh singing of Grunmer and Shock still shows the ideal way of this work, and you can fully understand that it is a masterpiece worth reprinting.
