Los Angeles based songwriter/guitarist Alex E.T. released her debut solo album The Ashes in 2021, unveiling a gritty, bewitching new sound that earned a 4-star review in Shindig! Magazine.
Her latest release Gold-Diggers Live Session captures songs from The Ashes being performed live for the first time, along with previews of unreleased material. The set was recorded at Gold-Diggers in Hollywood and originally broadcast as a live stream in October 2020 with producer Dave Trumfio (Wilco, Built to Spill, The Mekons) at the controls. The performance also features a guest appearance by Jeff Davies, seminal lead guitarist of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
Gold-Diggers Live Session builds on the recorded sounds of The Ashes, channeling songwriting styles and sounds of 60s psychedelia and British folk, mixed with angular post-punk flourishes and the rawness of 90s indie rock.
Alex E.T.’s next studio album is currently underway, engineered by Jason Simon of Dead Meadow.
