A contemporary jazz album featuring eight compositions by Pavle Miljenović with the focus on the melody and it's development.

This is not ordinary jazz, especially not ordinary for the Croatian music scene, first of all because it is musically close to both older and younger generations, or to simplify, to those who love jazz and to those who are not really close to jazz. Of course, it is not a work like that of the band Chui, which is sonically futuristic, that is, modern. The guitar is in focus here, but only because it is played by Pavle Miljenović, not because it overpowers all other instruments. The atmospheric album is quite different, it can create a certain nostalgia in your head, recalling classic jazz works, then take you to some great jazz clubs in New Orleans, create a melancholic feeling, but also have a psychedelic effect on you.

First of all, let me introduce the quintet. In addition to Pavlo on the electric guitar, it also includes Mario Bočić on the saxophone, previously known for his gigs with Anto Gela, work in the 4in3+1 project, but also collaborations with bands like Stamped, Pips, Chips & Videoclips, then Hrvoje Galler on the piano (known him as a member of the Ines Tričković Sextet and the release "Runjić In Blue"), Zvonimir Šestak on double bass (he worked on the aforementioned release but also on several albums by The Frajli) and Borko Rupena on drums, who had already collaborated with Šestak. An interesting and high-quality team gathered in this quintet, which successfully drove through 8 songs of the album "Begin.". As the name itself says, they started with this project successfully, and we hope that they will not stop there.

Everyone contributed to the songs, everyone is of such individual quality that they showed exceptional abilities on their instrument, so this jazz sounds as if the five of them met in a local bar and started (again association with Begin.). It is not about raping the instruments to the point of exhaustion, but a gentle interpretation of jazz that you will surely enjoy in whatever emotional state you are in.
