Jake Mann - Outta Mind A While (2023) Hi Res

The long-awaited return to Crossbill Records with a new 11-track solo album from California indie-rock songwriter, Jake Mann (Upper Hand, Islay Banks). Home-spun recordings with Jake performing most everything (as with 2007’s “Daytime Ghost”), featuring guest spots from long-time collaborator Max Hart, guitarist Jason Morgan (The Spires), former bandmates Dan Baber + Aaron Bellamy, and drummer James Neil (Sea of Bees, Deathray). With an often-cinematic quality, the assembled group takes a trip across the threshold of psychedlia, through dusted Valley roadhouses, and on to some foggy surfside scenes. A locked in rhythm section lays a solid foundation for the chiming guitars, and Mann’s melodic cadence vocals.
