Following the 4-disc set of "Mozart: Late Symphonies" (0301396BC) reissued in this series in November 2019, we will reprint a 2-disc set including Mozart recordings by Suitner & Staatskapelle Dresden. Three songs, including "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" recorded in 1960-61, and a total of five songs, including the one recorded in 1973, were recorded at about the same time as the symphony. It began five months after the recording of Symphony No. 29, first recorded by After that, the remaining 12 symphonies were recorded from 1968 to 1974, and these sound sources are performances that make full use of the beautiful sound of Staatskapelle Dresden. As you know, it reigns as one of the In the previous reprint, it was well received as a straight sound quality that made the best use of the good condition of the original analog master tape as it was. The supple and beautiful sound is reflected in this orchestral collection as it is. In particular, three songs in the 60's are recordings by Struben, and they are good quality recordings that can be used well even today. You can enjoy even more beautiful tones in the SACD layer. It has been revived in modern times with the best and latest mastering.

Couplings include 9 overtures recorded in 1976 and a special recording of Bizet: Symphony, recorded in 1972 with Staatskapelle Dresden. The "Overture Collection" performed by Staatskapelle Berlin is also a sound source known as a masterpiece, and the image of Mozart, which Suitner was good at, is drawn in detail. All performances are of high quality, and since they were recorded at the Church of Jesus Christ, they are interesting sound sources in terms of recording. Bizet's performance is basically based on the concept of Mozart's performance, and here too, Suitner's style, which emphasizes the natural flow, shines. It is a performance that can be recommended with confidence as one of the masterpieces of this song.
