Ich fühle mich durch und durch als Katalane, aber in meiner Musik möchte ich ausdrücken, was ich fühle, was ich bewundere und was mich anzieht, sei es andalusisch oder chinesisch. Enrique Granados Ich hoffe, dass dieses Album ein tieferes Verständnis der Goyescas ermöglicht und dabei nicht nur die gängigsten Bilder der spanischen Folklore wie die Sevillanas oder die Stierkämpfer, sondern auch ein vollständigeres Bild eines vielfältigen Landes zeichnet. Es war die Inspiration für einen Künstler wie Goya, der gleichzeitig zutiefst lokal und universell war. Es ist diese faszinierende Mischung aus Tradition und Moderne, aus Spanien und Europa, die Granados an seinem illustren Vorgänger gemocht und geliebt hat.
