Since the splash of Sound Is Like Water, the acclaimed Spectral Sound debut from DC-based singer, songwriter, and producer Davon Bryant, aka dreamcastmoe, the ever-collaborative and versatile talent has kept moving. Beyond charismatic DJ/MC sets from Amsterdam to New York, Bryant is splitting time between various projects now beginning to surface. But first, he closes the Sound Is Like Water era by inviting new perspectives to the material, a far-reaching remix package featuring 30/70, Black Rave Culture, gum.mp3, NAPPYNAPPA, Sirens Of Lesbos, and Tom Trago.

DC's Davonte "NAPPYNAPPA" Squire takes on the slow jam, "Complicated," adding his stylish flow to the track's back half. Spectral Sound affiliate gum.mp3 (fka Dirty Bird) flips "Love Songz" with a futurist footwork agenda, all beat-skipping kicks and bass, and puts a funky dub stamp on “Work On It.” "Love Songz" gets two classic club mixes from Black Rave Culture, the DC trio of Amal, James Bangura, & DJ Nativesun, fresh off some heat for ​​MoMA Ready’s HAUS of ALTR.

"Much More" receives three treatments; it grooves with Swiss band Sirens Of Lesbos, who drop the floor out to showcase Bryant's balladry above a backdrop of springy synth lines and percussive snaps. Dutch producer Tom Trago (Dekmantel, Rush Hour, Voyage Direct) brings the track to the afters, reimagining it wholly as a low-key dance cut driven by dreamy keys, syncopated hi-hats, and cut-ups of Bryant's pledge to himself on the hook ("you are much more than this"). Melbourne ​​jazz/funk/nu-soul collective 30/70 (Rhythm Section International) realize "Much More" in an astral lounge, setting dreamcastmoe at the mic alongside vocalist Allysha Joy, supported by saxophone, Rhodes riffs, and a skittering drum pattern.
