While fans were excited with the news that local soprano Suellen Cusack would be sharing her remarkable talent through her latest album Whisper of Angels, the news just got even better.
As well as having an album launch at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre on Saturday 13 May, Suellen’s show will feature not only her own beautiful voice, but that of a number of guest musicians and performers.
The musicians and performers involved with the album launch show are Michael Cristiano, Gregory Moore, and accompanied by Kate Hardisty (violin), Michael Goodall (cello), Christie McLucas (piano) and Sam Monk (percussion/drums).
Gregory Moore is a performer that Suellen has toured Australia, American and Canada with previously, as well as recording music together for the ABC, Ambition Entertainment, and released their critically acclaimed Requiem for a Soldier, a tribute to our fallen soldiers.
Michael Cristiano is one of Australia’s most highly acclaimed performers, composers and record producers.
As a producer, his name can be found on numerous multi-platinum selling albums by such artists as The Seekers, Judith Durham, Silverchair, Andre Rieu and Gene Pitney and now Suellen’s Whisper of Angels.
As a performer, he is renowned for his on-stage presence, unique, soulful voice and virtuoso guitar skills that continue to wow audiences worldwide.
He is one of the country’s most respected musicians and composers and has taken home many prestigious music awards.
Describing it as a feeling like nothing she has ever felt before, Suellen is thrilled to release her album while also sharing this show with audiences.
“I have recorded for albums with the ABC and duets with Ambition Entertainment, but this is my debut solo album,” she said.
’I’m excited to play with local talented musicians that I’ve grown up with Kate Hardisty and Michael Goodall, as well as Christie McLucas who has solidified herself as a top pianist in Queensland, and Sam Monk who is formerly a Shannon student but has studied music at JMC Academy.
“Greg Moore from the ten tenors who I toured nationally and internationally with and related music around Australia will be performing with me on stage once again, as will my producer Michael Cristiano who has supported me throughout the whole recording journey.
“Having this album out in the world with all my favourite classical crossover works, is really a childhood dream come true.”
