Derroll Adams - Songs Of The Banjoman (1997)

Derroll Lewis Thompson is a folk musician, banjo player, born November 27, 1925 in Portland, Oregon, and died February 6, 2000. All his life, Derroll gave concerts, paid or not, in churches , on request, invitation, providing a concert as a soloist or providing the first parts of local artists who have requested it, in the largest cities as well as in the most intimate places. He played in concert everywhere in Europe, but more particularly in Belgium: in a church in Loverval (1962), during the second Dranouter folk festival in 1976 (where he returned in 1991), in Ypres, Bredene, sharing the bill with Pete Seeger, among others.
