"Sonic Reader" is the first album by Singapore-born Warsaw-based artist, DJ, music producer Atika Altar.
The 12-track album oscillates through dance/ electronic styles of techno, tribal, experimental, and ambient. Produced throughout the summer-autumn of 2022, the album was made with a classic mix of virtual Roland drum machines, TR909, 808, CR-76 & software synthesizers.
Combining these contemporary electronic music styles, Atika brings a unique mix of modern archipelago groove & eurasian futurism to dance music in conjunction with experimental sound art.
