Based on the work of Paolo Soleri combining architecture and ecology, an arcology is envisioned as an integrated design for sustainable coexistence.
For the past few years I’ve been building generative creative tools in Max/MSP, and, naturally, conducting a variety of musical experiments with them. Problem solving is one form of creativity, another aspect of creativity feels something like a dance with chaos; these tracks are a result of both.
They seemed to tell a story together and as I look ahead to other projects looming, it felt like they wanted to be set loose. It was actually a bit of a snap decision to release them. As such, I suppose this work also serves as a reflection of my evolving relationship with music - and the industry around it.
Long story short: I guess I’m just trying to give the world some positive energy in a difficult year, the only way I know how.
