Wu Peixi was born in a musical family. She was admitted to the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music and studied with Fan Mingjuan and Professor Shao Dan, then she was enrolled in Shanghai Conservatory of Music on recommendation and studied piano performance. Later, she received her Master’s Degree in Art from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna where she studied under the guide of Rolland Keller and Peter Efler. During her graduate studies, she was mentored by Paul Badura-Skoda, specialising in the piano and chamber music of the Viennese School and Second Viennese School.
She has performed multiple recital, chamber and concerto concerts in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Japan and South Korea and toured in China regularly. She has worked with orchestras such as the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra and Mainfranken Philharmonie Orchester Würzburg.
